Progress on the hard ware for my Halloween costume for today, any guesses as to what it is?-Christine.
Clicker progress for tonight. I have painted the “Skelton teeth” I bought to look more like my gums and rotting teeth, I started coating the wig that Jenn gave me in all kinds of hair products to make it gross and greasy, destroyed the grossest pair of uggs i could find, and started to really wear my clothing for it. Tomorrow I take a break to work on my Halloween party costume, then Tuesday I am back to my clicker.
Good night my sweet ugg knock off prince, your sequiny life have served you well.
No. I’d rather DC never publish her again, honestly. I think bringing her back says “you can kick me around as much as you want and I’ll still give you money simply for making the character APPEAR.”
The stuff fandom produces for Stephanie Brown these days is infinitely more interesting than anything DC could do. Stephanie Brown has been written and drawn by so many people, at this point, that I don’t feel fandom artists and writers’ takes on her are any more or less legitimize, for better or for worse. You know when Morrison said that the DC Universe is sentient? I think this is what he means. The characters just continue to exist outside the company that birthed them. They “exist” independently from the people who created them. And the funniest part? Fandom’s characterization of her is not really any better or worse than DC Editorial or writers, and I can curate what I enjoy. I don’t need table scraps. Neither fandom nor DC owe me anything, but fandom loves to pony up way more.
I don’t need (or want) Steph back because I can get her from fandom as much as I’d like without needing to ever give DC my attention or money.
Arrow, nah. Can’t be bothered. I’ve never been all that interested in the comics version of Green Arrow, the version in Smallville was slightly more interesting but had the worst plot-lines, and I’m just not interested in trying again. Christine watched a few, I think, but dropped out fast. Our friend Josh is still following but I dunno.
Re: DC bringing back Stephanie… too little, too late. I’m not crawling back to them, not when they will only disappoint again… especially not for a demotion and passing appearances in a side book just intended to “flesh out Gotham City” after two years of jerking fans around. I’d rather spend my “voting dollars” on companies and franchises that have healthier relationships with their fans.
… or make it look more realistic
Drawn from memory.

Omg this is cute.
Dare we say best Stephanie Brown ever? #Cosplay by Jenn (@dangerousladies). Shot by Droo Photography.
Looking up the mask, that would not a good idea. With it being such a large mask, it would be very heavy and just fall off your face and break. The only acceptable “clay” would be model magic and that would get pricy for a mask that size.
Instead try layers of craft foam, carving expanding foam, or even layers of cardboard. All of these methods will look just as good as clay with some finishing touches and a nice paint job.
