THE DANGEROUS LADIES
We're the Dangerous Ladies, and we're delighted to meet you. This is our little online space where we keep our costuming progress, tutorials, thoughts and finished works.

I remade Josh’s Red Robin tunic this weekend. It took about five hours including the dozens of times I fucked something up. That’s not an exaggeration, I probably fucked things up around 12 times. That’s why you should definitely be awake when you’re sewing, lmao.
Anyhoo… I remade it because the old one had some structural problem that made it difficult for Josh to move, particularly around the shoulder joints and because of how the harness attached in the front. It also ripped in a few places because of stress. Also, Josh lost some weight! So the new one is lighter, the sleeves are shorter (less fabric under the gloves!), has a stretch panel up the spine to give it more mobility, has broader shoulders and a more fitted upper-chest. The harness now attaches to the tunic instead of the cape, reducing a stress point there.
The only thing we have left to do on it is insert shoulder pads between the cape and the tunic, to square out Josh’s shoulders — the slope of the cowl rounds them out, and we want to keep a stronger “comic book” silhouette :) Smoke and mirrors, folks.
(Also, look at Marcus To’s Damian sulking in the background! My precious baby :’))
