Christine’s tip of the day:
To have a nice finished hem on pleated skirts, cut your outer layer 1inch longer than you need, and the liner 1/2 an inch shorter than you need (but make sure you keep your seam allowance in there). Sew any side seams that don’t include the zipper, then matching those seams, sew the liner and outer piece together. Top stitch all the seam allowance to the liner piece, and press, you will have a nice clean hem, and your skirt will be cleanly lined.
