Need to combine wigs only temporarily and make a huge bouffant or otherwise huge hair? Put one wig over another, safety pin them together around the edges, and stuff the space between them with plastic bags. That way you can have a night of incredible hair and then just take it apart again after!

We are testing our Kyoko and Mami make-ups :)
Kyoko’s wig is fresh out of the bag and hasn’t been styled, and I’m wearing my Supergirl wig because my Mami wig is completely unstyled and thus looks nothing like Mami, haha.
One of these is not like the other…
I’m beginning to see a pattern in your cosplay choices, Jenn….
I own eight blonde wigs.
One for each Supergirl costume?
I have a bang one and a curly one for Wonder Girl, one for Batgirl, curly one for Supergirl, this ash blonde one, one for Mami which is currently unstyled, one very short one that used to be a Supergirl wig. Aaand I have another for New 52 Supergirl that has yet to be cut.
Did some minor wig styling while watching Superman:TAS with Josh. I am like, hair-useless so I seldom do much styling, mostly because I just shake out mine and go. So today was a bit of an… experimentation.
Up top is the Donna Troy wig. It’s one of the oldest wigs I own and it hasn’t been brushed out in a lonnng time. I brushed it all out entirely, sprayed it down with wig oil spray, bounced the curls back in (Josh made some interesting “tribal” beats for me as I danced around with it) and decided, hmm, it’s kind of boring. So I pulled the top part up in a ponytail in the back and wrapped some spare brown leather cording around it in that pseudo-Greek style. Whatever, I put my own spin on everything.
Down below is the Courtesan’s wig. I put the little horns in it at first and then was like “naw fuck this, this is stupid looking.” Look, it just will never look good, and it isn’t even a Renaissance-esque hairstyle. I decided to fuck around with a lot of little braids and loose romantic braids and a bit of ribbon and pearls, and that was enough for me. I’ll make up for how princessy and airy-fairy it looks with sexy make-up and ample, ample cleavage, haha.
Check it out! Pinkie Freakin Pie wig for Emmy, just out of the bag! Straight from Taobao’s Lucaille!
But Jenn, you say, recoiling in horror. That’s pale pink! Pinkie Pie has raspberry hair! And her bangs aren’t curly!
Never fear, brony (or FIM-fan-that-wishes-to-not-be-called-brony.) We have dye. We have the technology. We will be making this wig perfectly popping pinky-purple for our perfect, peppy, partying, panache-packed Pinkie Pie!
Also, Christine should post the Donna sword progress here, I kind of danced on the spot in joy when I saw it.
